Kuppet 26 lbs Washing Machine Review – Efficient and Portable

In my old apartment, I struggled with laundry. There was no place -and honestly no budget- for a fully automatic washing machine and a dryer. Being a bit high maintenance myself when it comes to laundry, I had to go to the laundromat several times per week to ensure everything is perfect. A short trip that I honestly dreaded.

Man irons things with iron. Young guy folds his shirt. Yellow with orange cabinet in the background.

It wasn’t until I decided to save up and get a portable washing machine that fits in the small space that I had that I found that you can get a decent semi-automatic washing machine to fit in a small room at a reasonable price. To my surprise, the market was full of options with different capabilities.

Today, I’ll be reviewing one of the most popular choices from Kuppet, a portable two tub 26 lbs washing machine. It’s compact, efficient, and has a dual tub for washing and drying.

Let me walk you through its features in more detail.

Compact Size – Expansive Capabilities

The first thing that’ll draw you to this model is its compact size. The Kuppet Twin Tub Mini is lightweight to fit in space-limited bathrooms, kitchens, or laundry rooms. This means that it’s portable too. Yet, its capabilities are on par with full-size washing machines.

Kuppet’s machine is semi-automatic with two tubs of two separate inlets, one for washing (18 lbs.) and another for spinning (8 lbs.) with a total of 26 lbs capacity. Both tubs operate on a heavy-duty dual motor of an overall 3600 RPM and 60 Hz frequency. The motor is responsible for the powerful and quick operation of the machine.

A Powerful Spinner – Dry’ em Out!

You might not have big expectations for a drier of such a small, portable washing machine. Yet, I’m glad to tell you you’re wrong about this!

Kuppet’s spinner is one of its strong suits. Its capacity is 8 lbs, which is half the capacity of the washing tub. So you’ll need two drying sessions for each laundry load. The good news is that you can operate them, the washer and the spinner, simultaneously to save time. Nonetheless, each of them has a separate timer.

Typically, you can set the timer to 5 minutes per load (or half laundry load, to be precise) and get your clothes damp. I’d personally advise you to check your clothes after the 5-minute session. If you find them still wet, run another session. In my experience, this highly depends on the fabric of the washed clothes.

Then, you can leave them to dry in the fresh air, and you’re good to go.

Lastly, I’d recommend you don’t try to cram the spinner and shove clothes into it to accommodate more clothes. After all, this dryer has no heat; it relies on mechanical drying, so the clothes need to stay loose in the tub. That’s about five garments on average.

Built-In Drain Pump – Saves Some Effort

Another handy feature of the Kupet washing machine is that it comes with built-in draining pumps that are attached to a long 56.3” draining tube to rid you of dirty water.

To get the maximum benefit of the draining pump, it’s better to place the machine at a higher level so that the draining pump is below it. This way, water will flow smoothly from the machine to the drain.

Pros

What sets the Kuppet apart from other washing machines of the same category is its easy operation. The control panel has a straightforward design with three controllers for washing mode, washing timer, and spinning timer. The separate timer settings and the simultaneous operation of the washer and spinner are a big advantage.

To keep the washing water clean, there’s a removable filter on the upper side of the machine. It filters water and dirt. You can remove it to clean it when it’s clogged or filled with dirt and reinstall it.

Considering that I’m an averagely lazy person, I loved the hose and clamp that came with the machine. Instead of manually filling the tubs with water, I attached the inlet hose to the faucet using the clamp et voila! The faucet does that for me now!

Cons

The Kuppet is a semi-automatic machine, and by that, I mean that you’ll have to do some of the work in between the washing and drying intervals to finish your laundry process.

Unlike full automatic machines, where you throw dirty clothes in there and go, you’ll need to manually move the clothes from the washing tub to the spinning tub and adjust the timer for them to rinse and dry.

You’ll have to do that two times because of the limited capacity of the rinsing tub, which might be a little off-putting.

What Customer Reviews Say

The overall feedback from customers was positive. They loved how the washing machine fit into narrow spaces, and there were multiple mentions of the draining tube that saved them the effort of ridding of dirty water themselves.

Others reported how surprised they were that the drying tub actually does dry out their clothes. The centrifugal force in the spinner blows off some air when the clothes are placed well and gets the job done in 5 minutes.

Wrap Up

An all or nothing approach doesn’t apply to washing machines. A good-performing semi-automatic washing machine can get you advantages of both worlds.

The Kuppet 26 lbs twin tub gives you just that. Through its turbo motor and two tubs, you’ll get clean and almost-dry clothes for a little effort. All in all, for the features it has, you’re getting a good bang for your buck.
